This year, Cutty Sark will be sponsoring the International Travel Photographer of the Year awards. Entrants are asked to provide four photographs that encapsulate the mood and theme of 'challenge'. Extreme, exotic or close to home, judges will be looking for the photographer's ability to creatively and consistently portray the magnitude of the task faced, and the adventurous spirit with which it was undertaken.

 
The winner will be rewarded with a £4000 photography commission that will span Edinburgh, Glasgow and London in an all-expenses-paid, 12-day trip. Cutty Sark will then choose up to 20 of the photographs to use for non-commercial purposes.

Named after one of the fastest ships in the British Isles, Cutty Sark has travelled to the four corners of the globe. Now enjoyed by drinkers from Havana to Japan, it is only fitting that Cutty Sark has united with Travel Photographer of the Year to reward photographers with that same intrepid nature.
